Greenhouses and Tunnels

Q.G. represents and distributes the well known leading brand in agricultural plastic covers GINEGAR for use in greenhouses and macro tunnels.

These advanced covers have unique thermal, mechanical and optical properties that make them ideal for protecting crops, enhancing plant growth and meeting the needs variants of farmers around the world.

The main advantages of plastic covers are:
  1. The covers are manufactured using a new five-layer coextrusion technology. This technique guarantees the highest level of mechanical strength and flexibility, and compatibility with all mechanical testing standards.
  2. Stabilization package, which incorporates multiple materials to give the tires a long durability, even under severe environmental conditions.
  3. Special characteristics of plastics such as Anti-drip, Anti-virus, Anti-dust and Diffusion of Light, contribute to the plants having a better development, a higher quality of the fruits and higher yields in cultivated products.
Thermal Effect (IR)

By incorporating an IR additive, thermal covers absorb and reflect Infra-Red radiation in the 7-15 micron range (radiation reflected from all points within the greenhouse). This reduces the energy loss accumulated in the plant foliage to the atmosphere, and prevents the cooling of the foliage at night, which is essential for maintaining a high foliage temperature - especially during cold nights.

Light Diffusion

Improve light exposure in different parts of the plant. This is especially important in tomato, cucumber, pumpkin, peppers, roses and some more. Special additives are used in roofing plastics to promote light scattering, with minimal reduction of light entering the greenhouse. In addition to enhancing photosynthesis, light diffusion covers help reduce direct light damage to sensitive crops like peppers and eggplants and prevent burns.

Drip Lock

When the relative humidity inside the greenhouse increases significantly, water condensation occurs, and the droplets accumulate on covers, plants and other objects inside the greenhouse. To prevent this from happening, we use an Anti-Drip (AD) additive, which flattens the droplets to form a layer of water that flows down the sides of the greenhouse. As a result and in addition to this, our Anti-Drip covers also reduce the need for pesticides, delay the attack of diseases, significantly improve the transmission of light, promote an early harvest and contribute to an improvement in the quantity and quality of crops. fruits.

Anti Mist

The Anti-Fog additive is used in conjunction with the Anti-Drip covers to minimize the incidence of fog inside the greenhouse. This makes possible the maximum transmission of solar radiation in the early morning hours, contributes to the significant reduction of heating costs, improves the passage of light and also reduces diseases in the leaves of plants such as phytoftora and botrytis.

Anti Dust

By using our advanced five-layer extrusion technology, we can include an additive in the top layer of our covers to reduce dust. In this way, the top layer of the cover is especially soft and this greatly reduces the accumulation of dust.

Anti-Virus Effect

Additives are used to significantly reduce damage to plants, also the proliferation of foliage diseases, especially botrytis, as well as the "blackening" of red rose petals are significantly reduced. As a result, the use of fungicides and pesticides can be significantly reduced. Additionally, by absorbing UV radiation, our covers also reduce contact with various pests and viral diseases transmitted by these pests.

Mulch Films

Quilting plastics from Q.G. are manufactured using an advanced co-extrusion method, multilayer, and are available embossed (cast) or smooth (blown) with a wide range of thicknesses and widths according to the specific needs of farmers, specifications and crops.
Black Padding
They absorb and block radiation to inhibit herb germination. TO As they absorb radiation, the plastics become hot and at the same time begin to heat the the ground, during very hot seasons there may be overheating causing a combustion, destruction of seedlings and hyperthermia in fruit.
Black / Silver and Black / White Padding
These plastics are silver or white on the side above and black at the bottom. Silver or white color reflects radiation to prevent overheating of seedlings, plants and fruit, enhances photosynthesis and repels pests. The black color prevents the penetration of light and reduces the germination of herbs. These plastics are recommended for vegetables, flowers and orchards with single row designs or for the whole width of greenhouse skirts. They are also available in larger widths for greater greenhouse coverage (4-9 meters).
Brown / Yellow Padding
These plastics are yellow on the top and brown on the downstairs. The yellow color attracts pests (especially tobacco whiteflies) and, As different studies carried out by researchers have shown, the use of these Plastics significantly reduce the chance of viral diseases being transmitted. The Brown color reduces radiation transmission and herb germination. These plastics are recommended for growing summer vegetables.
Brown / Silver Padding
These three-layer plastics are silver on the top and brown on the bottom. Silver color reflects radiation to avoid overheating of seedlings, plants and fruits, enhances photosynthesis and repels pests, while the brown color reduces radiation transmission and herb germination.
Al-Or Brown Padding
Al-Or Brown Plastics combine two properties: radiation transfer in the NIR range, which contributes to ground warming, and blocking radiation in the PAR range, which reduces the germination of herbs in a similar way to plastics opaque. These plastics are especially suitable for crops that grow in autumn, winter and in early spring, as well as in areas prone to herb growth.
Weed Control

Sealed or opaque mulches reduce the germination of various grasses, except for purple coquillo, cane, imperata cylindrica, mesquite, and other penetrating weeds.

Water Conservation

The cushion plastics reduce the evaporation of the water and, in this way, help to save water. They also reduce water fluctuations in the soil and help maintain constant humidity in the root zone.

Fertilizer dilution prevention

In open areas, fertilizers can be diluted in the root area (specifically in microclimates with high rainfall and in rainy regions). The use of padding prevents this from happening. In addition, mulches also prevent the removal of salts that accumulate around the root area after rain.

Attraction or rejection of pests

Reflective (silver) mulches repel harmful pests, particularly leaf aphids and thrips. Yellow padding attracts moths and reduces their ability to stick.

Modification of microclimates

Clear or opaque mulches help retain heat and raise soil temperatures, which is extremely important in fall, winter, and early spring. Opaque mulches (such as black / silver) reduce day-to-night temperature fluctuations on the floor, and black / white mulches reflect light and enhance photosynthesis. These pads are suitable for the hottest seasons.
